Project Title: Design a Poster as if It Were Your Life | 2024
Description: “Unseen” is a visual expression of my journey growing up as a woman in Iran. Growing up as a woman in Iran, I was shaped by a society that often told me who I should be and how I should live. In a world where tradition and expectations loomed large, it felt like my life was not truly my own—like I was a puppet, pulled by invisible strings. Creativity was my quiet rebellion, my way of speaking a truth that couldn’t be silenced.
The butterfly in my poster is more than just a symbol; it’s a beacon of hope. It represents the transformation I sought through immigration—a journey toward a future where I could finally spread my wings. It’s a reminder that even in the most constrained of circumstances, there is always the possibility of breaking free and designing your own path.
This design incorporates a self-portrait that I captured in 2016.
Project Title: Persian-inspired event menu design | 2024
Description:
This menu design was created for a series of fun social events for which I handled the ideation for the food, marketing, and hosting. It features a vibrant Persian carpet backdrop and a playful font to capture the energetic vibe of the events. The result is a funky, modern aesthetic that complements the delicious dishes—think Persian traditional creations with a contemporary twist!
Project Title: Roof as a New Land | Architecture project | 2020
Description:
This project envisions a “city within a city,” fostering strong connections between interior and exterior spaces, landscapes, and public areas. By blurring boundaries between these areas and their functions, a dynamic and interconnected environment emerges. This integrated approach provides residents with opportunities to engage with their surroundings and fosters a sense of community. To achieve this hyper-dense urban fabric, mono-functional spaces must transition to multi-functional ones, serving diverse purposes and adapting to community needs.
Project Title: Upper City: A Conceptual 3D Collage of Future Urban Life | 2018
Description:
Today, I woke up. And just like any other day, all there is to see is “fog” as I stare out my window amongst the people hurrying to get about their day and somehow bring back something to put on the table at the end of the day. I start my day by grabbing my essentials – a knife and whatever is left of my already-shrunken self-esteem in the hopes of maybe, just maybe, today is the day. The day that my dreadful life changes. The day that I gain access to the upper people. The day that I can finally take a deep breath of fresh air. As I take my first steps out of the apartment, I see the children playing in dirt. A few more steps, and I see a guy mugging ….
In this conceptual 3D collage of a future city, I explore the critical implications of exterminism, presenting a visual narrative that encapsulates the struggle for survival and the relentless pursuit of hope in an unforgiving urban landscape.
Project Title: Future City | Exterminism | 2018
Description:
Envisioned as a sanctuary for the 1% elite during times of extremism, this hub center is inspired by the principles of hierarchy and scarcity explored in the book “Four Futures.” The design is inherently adaptable, constructed like a game of Tetris—each piece representing a unique activity or purpose. As the needs of the elite evolve, the building expands and transforms, continually reconfiguring itself to accommodate new demands. This dynamic architecture ensures that the hub remains responsive and ever-evolving, a flexible fortress for those who shape the future.
Project Title: Yalda Night Poster Design | 2018
Description:
For the celebration of Yalda Night, I designed a vibrant poster that features Persian calligraphy elegantly shaped like a pomegranate— a traditional fruit enjoyed during this longest night of the year.
